AlledCook Construction served as construction manager on the recent restoration and renovation of UNE’s Goddard Hall which served as the first residence hall on UNE’s Portland campus more than 150 years ago.
Built in 1857, the exterior was completely restored to maintain its historic character while the interior space was transformed into a modern, energy-efficient office space. The interior was completely removed and replaced with a modern steel and composite slab structure.
The renovation incorporated a History Room in the facility’s main lobby where UNE showcases its rich history as an institution of higher education.
The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Goddard Hall currently houses the faculty and administration offices for UNE’s new Dental College.
