Project Summary

This new 22,500-SF addition to the existing 33,700-SF, two-building office complex provides additional space to allow for projected growth over the next 15 years.

The three-story addition provides office space for 35 employees on each floor, as well as conference space and a small break area.

The design ties the addition to the existing stair tower and elevator lobby via a connecting link, eliminating the need for a new elevator and encouraging interaction amongst employees from different parts of the buildings. The design also maximizes the use of natural daylighting.

Careful selection of materials and massing help blend the addition with the existing buildings while maintaining its own unique identity.

The project also included 100 parking spaces behind the new facility, creating a “campus feeling” and reinforcing the existing entrance court.

Green Initiatives:

  • Occupancy and daylight sensors on lighting fixtures
  • Natural light in work spaces reduces need for artificial lighting
  • HVAC system consists of multiple variable air volume boxes and heating/cooking thermostats to maximize comfort
  • Low-VOC paints
  • Locally sourced furnishings with 100% recycled polyester fabrics

The building is LEED Certified.
