AlliedCook has been providing superior commercial construction services to northern New England since its founding in Portland, Maine in 1958. Our founder, Donald W. Cook started the company with the goal of providing clients with the highest quality construction services.
Cook stayed at the helm of the company until 1977, guiding the growth of AlliedCook as the company established a stellar reputation for quality work and client service, and became one of the region’s premier commercial construction firms.
When Cook retired in 1977, his son David took over as President. Even today, over six decades after our founding, David’s sons, Matt and Daniel, remain at the helm as President and Executive Vice President, respectively. They are committed to continuing the culture and values that have been passed down from their grandfather and father – doing things the right way to best serve clients and provide exceptional project service.
That commitment is also firmly established throughout our entire team whose tireless efforts have made it possible for AlliedCook to grow and thrive for more than 60 years. In 2020, AlliedCook became an ESOP company, with the employee-owned model allowing for employees to be more directly rewarded for their involvement in the company’s success. The move to ESOP is a natural transition for AlliedCook, as it builds on the company’s existing values and culture.
We are lucky enough to have many skilled, professional people in key positions. Our experienced staff of estimators, project managers and superintendents are all highly skilled, top caliber people with the ability to manage complex projects. Many employees of AlliedCook have long histories with the company – some have been here for over 40 years – creating a positive company culture with a strong dedication to the success of our clients.
Our clients know this – and that’s why they return time and again. We’ve established many repeat customer relationships with top companies and business people, and we continue to build our list of clients.
